Seasonal Making Experience
9th May 2pm - 4:45pm, Duncton Village Hall, Petworth
From £39.00 for Earlybird tickets
Step into the softness of early spring and spend an afternoon creating something quietly beautiful.
Set in an intimate village setting in Duncton, near Petworth, within the South Downs National Park, this carefully curated workshop invites you to craft a natural wreath inspired by hedgerow, blossom and new growth.
Working with sustainably sourced and foraged materials, you will be guided through a refined, thoughtful approach to wreath making — from shaping a natural base to composing layers of texture, tone and movement.
A central element of the workshop is the creation of hand-painted pine cone flowers. You will learn how to transform these simple, overlooked forms into delicate, expressive details that bring subtle colour and character to your piece. Designed with longevity in mind, these elements can be reused and reimagined in future wreaths, allowing your work to evolve with the seasons.
The emphasis throughout is on balance, restraint and seasonal harmony, rather than perfection.
A carefully prepared selection of materials will be provided, including:
Natural, reusable wreath bases
Foraged spring foliage and soft, blossom-inspired elements
Materials to create and paint your own pine cone flowers
Fine details to elevate and refine your final piece
Group sizes are intentionally small, allowing for individual guidance and an unhurried pace.
This is more than a workshop. It is a space to slow down, to work with your hands, and to reconnect with the quiet rhythms of the season.
You will leave with a finished wreath, a collection of hand-crafted elements to reuse, and a deeper understanding of working with natural materials.
Tea will be served. Homemade cake shared. Conversation encouraged. Phones optional.
