About Hedgerow and Hearthcraft
Hedgerow and Hearthcraft grew from a simple idea: that making with natural materials can help us slow down and reconnect with the land around us.
Living and working in West Sussex, I am inspired by the rhythm of the seasons — hawthorn in spring, grasses in late summer, seed heads in autumn, evergreen boughs in winter.
Foraging is done thoughtfully and sparingly, with respect for wildlife and habitat. Sustainability is not a trend here, but a responsibility.
Through workshops and handcrafted pieces, I hope to share the quiet satisfaction of working with what nature provides.
Alongside workshops and handcrafted pieces, I also create botanical watercolour under the name Season & Stem. This practice begins with careful observation of seasonal plants and hedgerow finds, translating their structure and character into quiet, detailed studies. The same respect for natural rhythm shapes both parts of my work.
