Hedgerow Diary
A seasonal journal from the edges of field, woodland and garden.
At Hedgerow & Hearthcraft, the making always begins outdoors.
The Hedgerow Diary is a quiet record of the small seasonal moments that shape my work: the first primroses under the hawthorn, blackthorn blossom bright against a grey sky, moss glowing on the woodland floor.
These are the simple signs that the landscape is turning from one season to the next.
Some days it is a field of daffodils beside an old churchyard. Other days it might be a handful of seedheads gathered on a walk or the scent of wild garlic in the shade of the woods.
This diary is simply a place to notice them.
Many of the materials, colours and ideas that find their way into Hedgerow & Hearthcraft pieces begin here.

The Daffodils
Today’s finding:
A quiet sea of daffodils beside an old churchyard.
The hedgerows are beginning to wake again.
Spring is on its way.
